 the induction of the year’s class of gaming notables into the Mississippi Gaming Hall of Fame. The five gaming industry leaders were: Peter Carlino, chairman, president and
CEO of Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc.; Jerry St. Pe´, former gaming chairman and former president of Ingalls Shipbuilding; Marlin Torguson, chairman and CEO of Torguson Gaming Group Inc.; Lorenzo Creighton, former executive director of the Mississippi Gaming Commission and president, consultant at Barbor Grande; and James Maida, president and CEO of Gaming Laboratories International LLC. Past recipients were also recognized.
Be sure to save the date of the next show as the Southern Gaming Summit returns to Coastal Mississippi May 3-6, 2022. One of the oldest gaming conferences and trade shows, the Southern Gaming Summit is owned by the Mississippi Gaming & Hospitality Association (MGHA), guaranteeing
a conference “of the industry, by the industry, about the industry.”
Founded in 1994, the regional conference and trade show addresses issues of importance to commercial and tribal gaming in the south and the Midwest, bringing decision makers to the beautiful Gulf Coast of Mississippi.
