walkways. As you continue down Blaize Avenue, you will find the Bay St. Louis Community Center and The Arts, Hancock County, which rotates exhibits from local artists and hosts many classes, workshops and events. Blaize Avenue is also home to the Bay St. Louis Little Theatre, which has been performing shows since 1946. Both the Depot and the Bay St. Louis Little Theatre were filming locations for “This Property Is Condemned,” a classic film starring Robert Redford and Natalie Wood.
The Hancock Chamber staff invite visitors to stop by to learn more about businesses throughout the county and all there is to celebrate. Built in 1905, this historic building was once Bay St. Louis City Hall. There is a stately oak tree on the property with a shoofly,
a park and playground behind the building and a tennis court. While the
Chamber offices are housed on the second floor, the first floor is being developed as a Business Resource Center. It will be available for use as a public meeting space by reservation and as a co-working space for freelancers and remote workers.
The new location is not only a
link between two districts but also
a catalyst for economic growth.
As businesses in the area become more connected, they can work together to create new opportunities and partnerships that will benefit
the entire community. By being strategically placed in the heart of the community, the Chamber can better serve its members and stimulate more economic growth in the area. This move is a great opportunity for the community to come together and create a more prosperous and vibrant community.
