Reduced Fares / ID Cards
ID Cards
Passengers are required to present a CTA ID Card when purchasing and using reduced fares including cash or passes. Senior citizens (60 and over), persons with disabilities, and public school students are eligible for reduced fares with CTA ID or Medicare Card. CTA ID Cards must be obtained at the CTA Administrative Office located at 333 DeBuys Road in Gulfport any weekday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. You must carry your CTA ID card at all times. The bus operator has the right to ask for CTA ID or Medicare card for reduced fare at any time.
Medicare Card Holders
Medicare Cards are accepted as the basis for fare reductions and for purchasing reduced passes. However, all Medicare cardholders are encouraged to utilize a free CTA ID card.
Passes
Passes may be used anytime and are good for unlimited rides for the period indicated on the face of the pass. The pass will be validated when used for the first time and good for the remainder of the period. Passes are non-refundable and have no cash value. Transfers are included. CTA is not responsible for lost or stolen bus passes. Passes can be purchased on any fixed route bus, at the CTA Administration Office or at the Biloxi and Gulfport Transit Centers. You must present a valid CTA ID or Medicare Card at time of purchase to receive reduced fare passes.
